So as we head into the Holidays, we are going to try something a little different here on the site, and it’s nothing to worry about, but just a small change. Normally when posting our SMCDaily’s we create individual thumbnails of our posts that get shared out on our Social media pages with a sample of what that SMCDaily will feature. So we’re going to take a page from some other big sites and change the formatting on that just s small bit, and no longer feature the cosplayer in that thumbnail, but switch to featuring a generic shot of the actual character the material covers. For example, this SMCDaily features Starfire, so we grabbed a badass shot of Starfire and used it as our thumbnail. Let us know what your thoughts are in the comments, or feel free to e-mail us with feedback anytime. We’re when posting on social media, we get a few more interested parties clicking through the link to see what we’ve shared.
With that explanation out of the way, let’s get into some cosplay! We featured Haruhime’s (IG) Starfire over on our Instagram page a little while ago, and it was a big success. Our followers really seemed to like Haruhime’s take on this classic character. So like any good editor, we figured that we should expand, and reached out to Haruhime about possibly featuring her here on the site like we are doing now. So no need to tell you how it went.
Starfire is a very popular character from DC Comics and is most notably known for her role in the Teen Titans. However, like many good comic-book characters, there are numerous iterations of specific characters, and when it comes to cosplay many times those different versions get mashed together ending up creating a slightly different end product. All we can say about this particular one is that Haruhime really managed to capture the essence of the character, and I think the fans really liked her.
Make sure you head over to Haruhime’s social media pages and give her a like and possibly a follow. Big thanks to Haruhime for supporting us and providing us with content like this to share with our readers.
