SMC: What is your Cosplay name
Charlette Kilby: Well…..eeeer…..I don’t really have one! Ive only just started out with cosplay and Ive kind of just gone under my modelling name Charlette Kilby, which I use for all my professional work. I think I need your fans to help me decide on one!

SMC: Your location
Charlette Kilby: Good Old “Essex” England (don’t judge me! I loathe TOWIE and all the horrible negative prejudices that that show had strengthened for Essex girls!)

SMC: Why did you start  cosplaying?
Charlette Kilby: I stumbled across cosplay about a year ago, and actually applied for a cosplay casting for Catwoman by Paul Beard Photography and Visuals since then, I’m hooked!

SMC: What was the first convention where you cosplayed?
Charlette Kilby: Er, I’ve never been to a convention! (Gasp!!!)

SMC: What other cosplayers inspire you?
Charlette Kilby: It has to be Yaya Han all the way. One of the first cosplays I ever saw was her Catwoman. If I can be just a fraction as good as her then I will die happy!

SMC: Which is your favourite Cosplay’s you’ve created?
Charlette Kilby: Daphne from Scooby Doo

SMC: What cosplay are you best known for?
Charlette Kilby: Well I’ve only done 2 at the moment! But I think it has to be Daphne!

SMC: If money was no object what would be your dream costume to cosplay?
Charlette Kilby: Well as major cosmetic surgery would have to be involved, Jessica Rabbit. My ultimate idol.

SMC: What part of “geekdom” is you favourite avenue of entertainment (i.e. comics, movies, video games, anime, etc?)
Charlette Kilby: I would say film and TV. As a film producer I am a hard core film and TV fan and draw a lot of inspiration from strong female characters such as Ripley, Sara Connor and Dana Scully (all are planned cosplays for this year)

SMC: What Comic Books are you currently addicted to?
Charlette Kilby: Although it’s technically a graphic novel I think, I would say Chew by John Layman and Rob Guillory. Hands down the best. Go buy it. Now!

SMC: Any favourite TV shows, movies or cartoons?
Charlette Kilby: TV: Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead Film: Death Becomes Her, Cartoons: Courage The Cowardly Dog and SpongeBob Squarepants

SMC: Do you have any new cosplays currently in the works?
Charlette Kilby: Yes! I have an endless list! But on there is Leeloo Dallas, Ripley and Tomb Raider Reborn.
