It’s time for some tough questions. Have you been a reader/follower of ours for some time? If you can answer that question fairly easily, then you might already know that we (read I) am a fan of 2B from SquareEnix’s Nier Automata. That being said it may not be the reason you think, the fact is I’m a huge fan of Nier Automata Cosplay, not really the game itself.
Quickly without rehashing too much, let’s go over everything. Nier Automata was released in 2017 for PS4. It came with critical success and was a hit with a lot of people. For me, as a person that primarily plays their games on an Xbox, I simply didn’t get a chance to play the game until much later. After seeing years of 2b cosplay after 2b cosplay, I was hooked. 2b is such an amazing character. That being said, when I actually sat down to play the game on my Xbox, I wasn’t nearly as impressed with the game itself. I’m sure that can be hard to hear for some people, however, that is just one gamer’s opinion. With all that being said, I believe right now we are here more to see the cosplay than read about my own gaming views. On with the show.
The first thing is first, right out of the gate, these shots by photographer Manuel Ruiz Photography (Instagram) are simply stunning. The whole shoot is breathtaking, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it would make the perfect feature here on the site. Cosplayer Sailor Salem (Instagram) has done an amazing job of embodying 2b, and the two really match well together. I’m really liking the styling that went into the editing of these shots. You should know this is only a small selection of shots from this shoot, you can catch more of this collection by visiting Manuel Ruiz’s profile.
2b will forever be locked in our pop culture, and that is a good thing. More games set in the Nier universe are on their way. A second game is currently in the works called Neir Replicant, and a mobile game called NieR Re[in]carnation is set to release in February (2021). The one thing we can guarantee is that there will be more Nier Automata Cosplay coming down the pipe and we will be more than happy to feature it both here on the site and over on our social media platforms.
